The BDC-OF12H is a rugged, process gas, reciprocating compressor designed conservatively in accordance with API-618 for maximum longevity. It is available in two, four, and six throws and can be used for multiple applications. This machine has been designed for maximum reliability and ease of maintenance.

  • Forged crankshaft features include ground journals and crankpins in addition to integrally-forged drive flange to withstand torque fluctuations
  • Rugged cast iron frame
  • Precision (shimless) main and crankpin bearings
  • Pre-stressed frame via precision spacers and tie rods to withstand gas and inertia forces and improve rigidity
  • Oil header cast into frame
  • Die-forged steel connecting rods with rifle-drilled passages
  • Nodular iron crosshead with HYTORC-CLAMP® nut (see http://www.hytorc.com/clamp_how.htm for trademark details)
  • Frame inspection openings with steel covers
  • Crankshaft-driven gear-type frame lubricating oil pump
  • External distance piece bolting connections for easier maintenance
  • Available with a complete lineup of cylinders to handle all applications and pressures
  • Available cylinder materials include: Nodular Iron, Cast Steel, Forged Steel, and Stainless Steel
  • Frame-mounted oil level gauge, oil pressure gauge, and oil pressure alarm
  • Dresser-Rand valves, unloaders, and clearance pockets
  • Cylinder lubricator with chain drive from crankshaft or optional motor drive

In addition to supplying the compressor, Dresser-Rand offers a complete array of auxiliary equipment and services necessary to meet installation requirements.

  • Frame lube oil console in accordance with API-618 to include full-flow, 10-micron cartridge-type dual oil filters, oil cooler, and auxiliary motor-driven pre-lube oil pump
